I vowed I wouldn’t spend all week in front of the computer so let’s do the list thing!
Our trip so far:
We left five hours later than our planned 8AM departure time. Don’t ask. I’d rather not talk about it.
It took us over eight hours to reach Bemidji. Fortunately, Sophie slept for about seven and a half of those eight.
I had my #2 sandwich + avocado from Jimmy John’s. 
I love you, Superior, WI.
I only packed half the house, quite an accomplishment. I didn’t pack the bottle warmer, thinking I wouldn’t need it. Of course, it was the first thing I wish I’d have packed after we got here.
Oh, and before I forget, speaking of bottles, I did a review on the Philips Avent bottle for BlogHer. Check it out and you could win a $500 Visa gift card. If you’re into that sort of thing.
We have five people plus one baby in a small cabin that was apparently shot with a wide angle lens for the web site photos, because it’s a lot damn smaller than we anticipated.
This won’t be a problem as long as the weather stays nice and we aren’t cooped up inside, because the children are already driving me a little batty. If it rains? I might need to scope out locations to hide the bodies.
All of Scott’s clan, especially the little kids, have been enjoying Sophie.
Activities thus far:
Sandcastle contest down at the beach,
Waffles and bacon for breakfast,
and gorgeous weather.
All and all, a nice time so far.
