I’m in a sock knitting frenzy as of late, but can’t seem to get motivated to finish any for anyone but me. This is mostly due to the fact that I have this insistent fear I will run out of yarn, so I end up finishing them to fit my size 6 mini-me feet. Most often it ends up that I would have had plenty of yarn to make them longer. Oh well. Must get butt in gear to finish some socks for other people (Christmas).
So what’s on the needles?

Hoping I remember how I did the first one, because there were modifications: I omitted the decreases in the foot and did a standard toe instead of the star toe called for in the pattern. It turned out to be very short and I hated it. Like this toe better, but still wish it was longer. Oh well.
LATER…
I had to rip out the heel after I realized I only knit across 23 stitches, not the 27 I needed to knit. No wonder the heel wasn’t working out. Dammit. - Pomatomus

First sock finished. This has got to be the fastest sock ever. It fits my foot perfectly and I didn’t run out of yarn, even after doing one more pattern repeat than I really needed. Color variation isn’t detracting from the lace pattern as I feared it would. These are such quick knits, I think I found my Christmas Gifting Sock Pattern.
Pictures coming when I find the battery charger for the camera. And that is all.
