Okay, so I forgot Scott’s birthday. Sort of. It’s not like I didn’t know which date it was (Nov 8). It’s that I didn’t realize that day was TODAY. If only I had logged on to Facebook this morning. Those little birthday reminders? It would have told me, “Hey idiot, today happens to be the birthday of the father of your child/love of your life. You should maybe think about telling him ‘Happy Birthday’ or oh, buy him a present or something.”
But I didn’t get on Facebook this morning and last night, while at a spaghetti dinner/silent auction benefit for a friend of ours, I wrote two checks, both dated 11/6/09. Because I seriously thought that his birthday was Monday. I told people this. I even told my mother this. I spoke to HIS mother on the phone twice and STILL thought it was Monday.
Anyway, sorry, Honey! I suppose you can hold this over my head for about a week or so. After that, the basement really needs to be cleaned.
Sophie was all Chatty McChatterson this morning so I guess this will have to do for a present until we can get to a real store. Happy Birthday, Scott!
